Originally founded as a wind driven water pump designer and manufacturer in 1878, Webster's has developed in keeping with technology and now supplies a comprehensive range of power products into the CV market.

Commitment to quality is demonstrated by being the first Group Company to attain accreditation to ISO9002 in 1988, and now both CAD and CAM facilities are utilised to offer 21st.century transport solutions such as Clutch ( Hot-Shift ) PTOs. In line with Syltone's policy of servicing the global market Websters manufactures a large range of transmission products to support the appropriate Group divisions.

In addition to supplying the Syltone Companies, Webster Drives works independently with vehicle and gearbox manufacturers and supplies bodybuilders with product to power lorry mounted cranes, liquid and powder road tankers, skip loaders, refuse compactors, access platforms, fire tenders, tippers and much more.

In addition to the wide range of standard products, Webster's also undertake the design and manufacture of OE transmission for niche market applications; examples include drop boxes for All-terrain military vehicles, transfer boxes for amphibious craft and final drive units for underground locomotives.
